2. Hosting and delivery

This website is hosted through Lovable and delivered through Cloudflare. In operating and securing the website, server log data may be processed, including the IP address, date and time, requested URL and user agent. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in secure and reliable website operation under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Lovable and Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

3. Cookies and local storage

Cloudflare sets the technically necessary security cookie __cf_bm to distinguish legitimate traffic from automated access. It expires after approximately 30 minutes. The language preference is stored locally in your browser under maritech_lang. These technologies are necessary for secure delivery and the language function and are used under § 25 (2) TDDDG.

We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. A consent banner is therefore not required.

4. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are hosted locally. Your browser does not connect to a third-party font provider.

5. Inquiries through forms and email

When you contact us, we process the data you provide, which may include your name, email address, company, telephone number, vessel name, IMO number, vessel type, delivery port, urgency, search query, requested parts, quantities and message. We use this information to answer and carry out your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

Inquiry data is stored using Supabase as our database processor in the EU Central region. We send a confirmation email containing the inquiry reference to the email address you provide.

For spam protection, the forms use a hidden honeypot field and a rate limit. The IP address is converted into a SHA-256 hash before storage; the raw IP address is not stored in the rate-limit table. The hash, hourly window and submission count are retained for up to 48 hours. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in preventing misuse under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

6. Email delivery

Transactional emails are sent through Lovable’s email service using the verified sender domain notify.maritech-marine.com. Lovable acts as a processor for this purpose. If personal data is processed outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable or by Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Storage period

Inquiry data is deleted when it is no longer required for handling the inquiry, unless statutory retention duties apply. Business correspondence and tax-relevant documents are retained for six or ten years in accordance with § 257 HGB and § 147 AO.

8. Your rights

You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under Arts. 15–21 GDPR. You may exercise these rights using the contact details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
