Data privacy
How we handle your personal data on this website, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO).
1. Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:
MARITECH Marinetechnik GmbH & Co KG
Am Inselpark 3, 21109 Hamburg, Germany
info@maritech-marinetechnik.de · +49 40 70 29 35 14
2. Data we collect
When you submit our contact or inquiry form, we process the information you provide voluntarily — typically your name, email address, phone number, company, vessel context (name / IMO / port), and the content of your message.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider may automatically log technical data (IP address, browser, time of request) for the purpose of security and service stability. These logs are deleted on a rolling basis.
3. Purpose & legal basis
We process your contact and inquiry data solely to respond to your request, provide quotations, and fulfil any resulting business relationship (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
4. Sharing of data
Your data is not shared with third parties unless required to fulfil your request (e.g. shipping a quoted part) or where we are legally obliged to do so. Our website infrastructure is operated through trusted European or GDPR-compliant providers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR.
5. Storage period
Inquiry data is retained for as long as necessary to handle your request and to meet statutory commercial and tax retention obligations (typically 6–10 years under German law). After that, the data is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
You have the right, under the conditions of the GDPR, to:
- request access to your personal data (Art. 15)
- request rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
- request erasure of your data (Art. 17)
- request restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@maritech-marinetechnik.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for our seat in Hamburg, this is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
7. Cookies
This website uses only the cookies strictly necessary for it to function. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies that require consent.
